Actress Tao Tsuchiya revealed the thoughts behind the outfit she wore to the Japan Academy Awards. The gorgeous blue-toned kimono was a highlight of her outfit, and she said, "I've always treasured my Wajima-nuri hairpin, and I've used it on my obi, along with #TASAKI's earrings."
Tsuchiya posted on social media, "The Japan Academy Awards ceremony was a wonderful time...!!! The photo shows the outfit I chose. I'd like to write again tomorrow, including my thoughts on the outfit."
In a later post, Tsuchiya explained the outfit in detail, saying, "I've always treasured this Wajima-nuri hairpin, so this time I decided to wear it on my obi along with #TASAKI's earrings. This Wajima-nuri hairpin, which I traveled with to Milan and Paris last year, is a precious treasure that Mr. Osaki from #Osaki Lacquerware Store chose for me when I was a judge for the The Kohaku Song Battle in 2016 as the heroine of the TV drama series "Mare." "
Tsuchiya won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the film "Hakkenden."
