Kagawa remarried in 2022 and announced the birth of a boy in the same year, leading to comments such as, "What a precious photo of the unveiling (tears)!", "This is the first time he's unveiled here," and "Special education." There were also comments eager for the return of NHK's insect program, such as, "Please bring back Mr. Mantis," "I hope Mr. Mantis returns," "I want to see Mr. Mantis," and "I want him to come back."
Many people noticed that Kagawa's hair had grown out, been tied up, and was turning gray, with comments such as "Silver hair suits him really well" and "He's stopped dyeing his gray hair."
