Two-time consecutive Olympic gold medalist in men's figure skating, professional skater Yuzuru Hanyu (31) announced on the 11th that he will be restarting his solo performances. It has been decided that the "Yuzuru Hanyu "REALIVE" an ICE STORY project" will be held in his hometown of Miyagi in April 2014. The performance will take place over two days, on April 11th and 12th, at the Sekisui Heim Super Arena. It will be directed by MIKIKO.

Hanyu's full comments are as follows:

"I believe that the programs that I have created and shared with you all live on in your minds, brimming with memories. In this day and age, even if they are not live, they can be viewed over and over again, reaching many different people. I am happy that my programs have become living beings in this way.

That is why we want you to feel that you are living here and now, in every second of this world that will never be the same again. We want these programs to reach the unique sensibilities of each and every person, and that no two moments will ever be the same again.

I will skate with all my soul and all my strength, using my current body, so that I can deliver a program that can only be done on that day, in that place, and at that time.
