Airi Hatakeyama, mother of two, reveals her post-pregnancy weight gain. "It took courage to get back into modeling work after a long time," she says. "I gained weight once." Her husband is Seiya Suzuki.

On the 28th, the women's fashion brand "23ku", developed by Onward Kashiyama, held a runway presentation for their "Yukin Coordination" in Tokyo, where four female athletes appeared as models on the runway. Airi Hatakeyama (30), wife of Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (30) and former member of the Japanese national rhythmic gymnastics team, showed off a ribbon just like she was still active in the sport. "It was my first time holding a ribbon (as a model), so I was very nervous. Rhythmic gymnastics is also a sport where people are watching and judging, so I feel like there are some similarities between that and modeling," she said.

Hatakeyama gave birth to her first child in September 2022 and her second child in June this year, but this was her first public appearance in a long time. Although she appears to have maintained her beautiful figure, she revealed, "I've been pregnant and giving birth for the past few years, so it's been a really long time since I've been in front of the media like this. It took a bit of courage, but I've been dieting little by little (laughs)." Some people around her were surprised to see that Hatakeyama's silhouette has not changed since before, saying, "Huh?"

She revealed with a smile, "After giving birth, my stomach and other parts really did get big. I wondered if I would be okay for this job, but people around me pushed me forward, and I was happy to be able to work with everyone."
