Shohei Otani escorts his wife Mamiko holding hands as they enter the concert venue together, a ring sparkling on her left ring finger
On the 2nd, Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani attended the Blue Diamond Gala, a charity event organized by the owners' group, at Dodger Stadium, accompanied by his wife Mamiko.
The annual event, organized by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF), began with a pre-show dinner party and featured a live performance by four-time Grammy Award-winning global star Ed Sheeran at the stadium. When moving from the party venue to the concert venue, players escorted their wives or girlfriends through the stage to the stadium's VIP seats. In a video posted to Instagram Stories by a participant, Mamiko appeared with her right hand entwined around Ohtani's left arm. On the stairs leading down from the stage to the field, Otani was seen walking in front of her, holding his wife's right hand with his left hand, and other images of him escorting her were projected on a large screen next to the stage, eliciting cheers from the stadium.
As he entered the stadium, Otani responded to an interview and said, "It seems to be a tradition, so I was looking forward to it. This is my first time coming to a concert, so I'm looking forward to it."
