On the 1st, TBS announced that reporter Chiaki Hara (36) had injured her left knee during a project interview for "THE TIME," and will be out of action for three months.

At around 11:30 a.m. on November 30th, while reporting on a facility in Chiba Prefecture that was being built by someone who had recreated the SASUKE area, Hara was trying out the "Quad Steps" (an area where you move by jumping from one board to another), and immediately after jumping onto the fourth board, she complained of pain in her left foot and collapsed onto a safety mat that had been placed underneath the boards.

She stopped filming because she felt pain around her left knee when walking. She took a break while applying ice to the affected area, and then continued with the interview "within reason."

After the interview, she was examined at an orthopedic clinic in Tokyo, and upon further examination on December 1st, she was diagnosed with a fracture of the left tibial plateau, with a recovery period of three months. She will not undergo surgery and will aim for a natural recovery. She will take a break from appearing on the show for the time being, but will continue to work on other projects as long as it does not interfere with her work.

TBS released the following statement: "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to Chiaki Hara herself, her agency, and all other parties involved. When filming this program, we consulted with the facility manager and laid down safety mats and took great care to ensure safety, but we are extremely sorry that Hara was injured. We pray for Hara's speedy recovery, and will continue to take even more thorough measures to ensure safety in program production."
